2011 Mobius Environmental Awards
Congratulations to the winners of the 13th Annual Mobius Environmental Awards!
Recognized at the awards luncheon held at Pier 21 in Halifax on Tuesday, June 7th, their outstanding environmental achievements have set them apart as leaders in waste reduction and as role models in their communities.
The keynote speaker for this year's awards luncheon was well-known local meteorologist, author and documentary producer Richard Zurawski. The focus of Mr. Zurawski's speech was the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling and why lifestyle changes are necessary if we want to protect and preserve the environment, reinforcing the need for environmental advancements like we see from the Mobius Award winners.
For more details, please view the 13th Annual Mobius Environmental Awards media release.
More than $1,700 was donated to Feed Nova Scotia by those in attendance in lieu of event tickets.
